ORDINANCE No. 206, of SEPTEMBER 4, 2018

This Ordinance provides for mandatory citation of CAPES in course completion works: Dissertations and Theses

THE PRESIDENT OF THE COORDINATION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF HIGHER LEVEL PERSONNEL, according to art. 26 of the Statute, approved by Decree No. 8977, of 30/01/2017, and CONSIDERING what is indicated in the CAPES Notices, in the Scholarship Consent Terms, in the regulations for scholarships abroad and in the country, in the AUXPE Manual, and in the adhesion term to the Periódicos Portal e, CONSIDERING the process No. 23038.013648/2018-51, states:

Art. 1 The works produced or published, in any media, that result from activities financed, in whole or part by CAPES, must, obligatorily, refer to the support received.

Art. 2 To identify the funding source, the use of code 001 is authorized for all funding received.

Art. 3 The following expressions must be used, in the language of the work:

“This work was carried out with the support of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – Brazil (CAPES) – Financing Code 001

“This study was financed in part by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – Brazil (CAPES) – Finance Code 001”

Art. 4 The graduate program pro-rector is responsible for the dissemination and application of the rule within the Higher Education Institutions that received support from CAPES.

Art. 5 Failure to comply with this standard will imply eventual changes in CAPES support for the institutions and researchers involved, from 2020.

Art. 6 This Ordinance enters into force on the date of its publication.
